We are very pleased to introduce Michelle Rhodes to complement our team, as our new Home Manager at Oulton Manor.
Michelle has an extensive background in clinical practice, care quality and compliance. She confirms,
“I have a great passion for quality care, especially for older people living with dementia. I will be putting my experience into practice to provide the highest standards of care at Oulton Manor.”Michelle Rhodes
In her most recent role, Michelle was Head of Clinical Standards at health provider McKesson UK. She has previously held other of high-profile positions, within both the private and public sectors. Michelle has also worked closely with the Care Quality Commission, who regulate all health and social care services throughout England. She is very dedicated and
enjoys caring for older people, especially as her own grandmother had Alzheimer’s disease.
Michelle is particularly looking forward to inspiring and developing the care team at Oulton Manor, “I’m excited to coach and support my colleagues at Oulton Manor to provide the best possible care for our residents.” She is keen for the home to be closely involved with the
local community. Michelle plans to arrange support groups, in order to help older and vulnerable local people, and strengthen the existing links that Oulton Manor has in the area.
Up-to-date technology enables Skype or Zoom calls with family and friends, which has made a positive difference to them and provided reassurance to their families. Technology has enabled Oulton Manor to participate in a regular virtual quiz with other Anchor care homesand virtual bingo. We have a regular home newsletter that provides updates and details of forthcoming events to families and friends.
We are welcoming new residents to our luxurious admission suite. Our care is complimented by our state-of-the-art environment, which include a fully equipped bar, elegant dining rooms and cosy quiet areas. We understand that a home from home is important, so we provide a warm welcome with little touches like welcome gifts, including fresh flowers and daily newspapers. Our friendly carers spend the settling in period getting to know our residents, ensuring that our care is tailored to their interests, preferences and lifestyles. From the moment you step into our home, you can be assured of personally tailored care.
Our highly qualified staff team have implemented robust guidelines around PPE and precisely adhere to required policies. Our cleaning procedures are also comprehensive, to ensure our residents maintain a great quality of life, and more importantly, are safe.
