Robin Hood Athletic was formed in 1952 by the late Alan Rathmell. They currently run two mens open age teams that play on saturday afternoons at The Coach Ground behind the Coach & Horses pub, on Wakefield Road.
The First team are currently 2nd in the West Yorkshire League Division One and are hoping to be promoted into the premier league this season. The club has recently built its own changing room facilities at the ground with the help of local volunteers and players. The club aims to move up the football pyramid into non league divisions.
There are however many expenses connected with running the club and they rely on funding solely via their own fundraising events and the support of local businesses.
The club is currently looking for a club/kit sponsor for 2012/13 season, and a local business would work well and be a great partner with the club.
In return for sponsorship the club will wear your business logo on the club shirts, sponsorship boards at the ground and would be listed as the clubs main sponsor on their official website.
The club features regulary in the Yorkshire Evening post so any business would get maxium publicity.
A fee of £400 would purchase a new kit and pay for printing and embroidering.
Hopefully this is something that a local company or business would be willing to consider, further details and a full breakdown of likely costs are available on request.

As part of the ongoing development of the LS26 website we have now included a sports section.
Our aim is to bring you as much sports news as possible but we need you to let us know! If you run a local sports team, no matter what the sport is, why not get in touch and we can feature any forthcoming matches, events, fund raisers or player trials.
Additionally to this we will be featuring the fortunes of our own Leeds United, starting with a season review.
