THE ROSEBUD INN MAY BEER FESTIVAL – 22 Westfield Road, Rothwell LS26 0SJ.
Get yourself down to the Rosebud Inn this weekend and enjoy their May Beer Festival. Over the weekend there will be 11 specially selected cask ales to enjoy as well as food and the usual warm welcome.
There is also an informative Beer Festival programme which will give you all the info and background to the ales that have been selected for the festival.

NATURE WALK – Woodlesford Locks
Meeting at the Woodlesfords Locks, the Groundwork activity group have organised a fantastic nature walk.
The walk will take you to St Aidens Nature Reserve where you will meet staff for a talk about the importance of flood plain and wildlife.
Suitable for the whole family, children must be supervised by an adult. Please ensure you wear suitable clothing and sturdy shoes. Bring your own refreshments.

DANCE SESSION – South Leeds Youth Hub, Middleton Road, Belle Isle, LS10 3JA
Come and try dance styles like Street, Breakdance and Hip Hop. No experience is necessary boys and girls are welcome. Parents / carers must sign a consent form. Wear comfortable clothing and trainers and bring a bottle of water.
Cost is £2 and this event is every Saturday from the 27th onwards.

TEMPLENEWSAM HOUSE HIDDEN TOURS – Colton Road, LS15 0AE
Take a journey under the House through the cellars and tunnels to learn how the servants got around Temple Newsam House unseen.
This tour does involve some steep steps and uneven surfaces and is suitable for ages 7+
Free with normal admission to the House.

GO TRI ROTHWELL – Rothwell Sports Centre, Wakefield Road, Oulton LS26 8EL
In celebration of the World Triathlon Series coming to the city in June we are hosting a series of outdoor GO TRI duathlon and triathlon events across Leeds in 2017. GO TRI events are an ideal way of getting involved in triathlon for the first time in a fun, safe environment.
GO TRI Rothwell 1 will take place on Saturday the 27th of May 2017 at Rothwell Leisure Centre.
There will be two races on the day. An open adult race (Age 15+) and a junior race (Ages 10-14).
The open adult race will include a 200 metre swim, a 5km bike and a 3km run.
The junior race will include a 50 metre swim, a 3km bike and a 1km run.
The cycle and run routes at this event will be on grass.
All races will be fully marshalled, signposted and traffic free. The entry costs are £5 for the adult race and £2 for the junior race. Registration will open at 9:30am with the first race starting at approximately 10 am
SUNDAY 28TH MAY – 12PM
RHUBARBFEST – Carlton Village, WF3 3RW
The famous Rhubarbfest is this Sunday with great rides, stalls and live music.
Entry is FREE and is always a great day out for all the family.

YORKSHIRE WILDLIFE TRUST BAT WALK – Rothwell Country Park, Bullough Lane LS26 0JY
A guided walk to see and hear our bat species and learn about their ecology and conservation
Meet in the Rothwell Country Park Car Park on Bullough Lane and bring a torch.
Cost is £6 for non-members and £4 for members.
