COSY CORNER CAFE

The Cosy Corner Cafe is the community meeting together to include those in need of support. They’re invite everyone to come and join them to celebrate Whitsuntide with a cuppa and a cake!
The Cosy Corner Cafe runs on the 3rd Thursday of every month, so if you can’t make this one, please join them for the next one!

METHLEY YOUTH CLUB

Just a quick reminder to you all that the Methley youth club runs every Thursday evening, and is a great place for your children to hang out in a safe environment, have some fun and chill out with their friends.
The club is for age 11+, with entry only 50p! There will be music, pool, lots of games to play and a tuck shop.

MULTI SPORT ACTIVE CLUB

A quick reminder that running during term time is this multi-sport active club, which is a great way of getting the kids active! With lots to enjoy from football to boxercise and much more!

BEHIND THE SCENES AT ST. AIDANS
SATURDAY 19TH 10AM – 12NOON
RSPB St Aidan’s Nature Park, Astley Lane, LS26 8AL

Lots of fascinating work goes on behind the scenes at St Aidan’s, all to help make it the best it can be for nature and wildlife. Their warden work programme changes with the seasons and includes everything from digging lovely, muddy scrapes for waders, to counting lapwing nests on the wet grassland.
Hopefully you will all have booked your place on this Behind the Scenes tour, where you will head out on a guided walk with one of the wardens to find out more about the work that goes into managing the different habitats across the site.
This walk should last approximately two hours, please dress for the weather with good footwear.


ACCESS/DRAINAGE WORK
SATURDAY 19TH MAY 10AM – 3PM
Rothwell Country Park, Bullough Lane, LS26 0JY

The Friends of Rothwell Country Park are looking for volunteers to help manage, protect and promote the wildlife and heritage of the country park. The work will be varied and include cutting back vegetation, footpath work, bulb and tree planting and various types of habitat management.
All you need is some all clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and some sturdy footwork.
All the tools and training you need are provided, plus tea/coffee and biscuits.
Everyone is welcome and all the help is much appreciated. Under 16’s are also welcome but must be accompanied  by an adult. Please meet at Bullough Lane barrier.

RNLI PLANT SALE AND COFFEE MORNING

Not LS26 but for a good cause.  The Garforth Branch is holding a Plant Sale and Coffee Morning to raise some much needed funds. There will be lots of souvenirs, a Cake Stall and a Tombola to enjoy, plus refreshments will be available throughout the morning.

Again not LS26 but close enough to have a wander around! The Plant Sale is being held in aid of Colton Methodist Church Fund and the Leeds based Charity, Caring For Life. They will be selling everything from Bedding Plants to Patio Containers, so plenty to look at, and when you’ve exhausted your wallet, why not have a cake and a cuppa in the cafe.


CHEEKI MONKEYS BIG BABY AND CHILDREN’S MARKET

Yes I know, it’s again not LS26, but why cut our noses off!!!!
It’s a fantastic indoor market with plenty of stalls selling a vast range of goods from preloved items, to hand made gifts. Plus refreshments too.
