METHLEY YOUTH CLUB
THURSDAY 1ST FEBRUARY 6.30PM – 8.30PM
Methley Village Centre, Main Street, Methley, LS26 9JE

Just a reminder of the Methley youth club. It’s a great place for your children to hang out in a safe environment, have some fun and chill out with their friends.
The club is for age 11+, with entry only 50p! There will be music, pool, lots of games to play and a tuck shop. The club runs every Thursday evening.

NEW BOXING SESSIONS
FRIDAY 2ND FEBRUARY 5PM – 7PM
Blackburn Hall, Commercial Street, Rothwell, LS26 0AW

GT Sports are holding new boxing sessions starting this Friday. There will be two classes; the first will be for ages 5-11 from 5pm to 6pm, cost £3.50 per child. The 2nd will be a family boxing session from 6pm to 7pm, cost £6 for an adult and child, with a cost of £2.50 for each additional family member.
The sessions are run by qualified Boxing Awards Tutors, including local female Semi Professional boxer Rachel Hepton.
There is also a Boxing Awards Programme available that you can get involved with.

MULTI SPORT ACTIVE CLUB

Just a reminder that the Multi-sport active club runs every Friday evening, details below:
The Multi-sport active club is a great way for your kids to get some exercise whilst having fun in a safe environment.  The club is open to children aged 4 – 11 years.
The sessions are £2 and include sports such as Football, Hockey, Dodgeball, Boxercise and many more fun games!

STANLEY RANGERS TRAINING SESSION
SATURDAY 3RD FEBRUARY 11AM – 1PM
Stanley Rangers Club, Lee Moor Road, Stanley, WF3 4EQ

Stanley Rangers and SMTMUK have joined forces for a training session followed by a Q&A with Leeds Rhinos Cameron Smith and Mikolaj Oledzki.
The Club are looking for new players from ages 6-15 to join in with the session, and look forward to seeing you all there!


WOMBLES LITTER PICK
SATURDAY 3RD FEBRUARY 10AM – 11AM
St Oswalds Church, 32 Churchside, Methley, LS26 9BJ

The wombles are going to litter pick alongside the A639 up to the Castleford Bridge. Those with children can pick on the Green Row estate and play area.
All welcome to help out; spare equipment is available.

WORLD CANCER DAY
SUNDAY 4TH FEBRUARY

This World Cancer Day will see 11 children and young people in the UK diagnosed with cancer. Please support the fantastic Charity, CLIC Sargent by buying a wrist band from Morrisons in Rothwell, and showing your support.

CARLTON SCOUTS FUND RAISER
SUNDAY 4TH FEBRUARY 11AM ONWARDS

Carlton Scouts will be holding a Bun Sale after the Church Parade this Sunday, and every 1st Sunday of the month, to help raise money to send the Scouts to Belgium.
The scouts would really appreciate everyones help, and of course invite you to the service in Church at 9.30am.

Mindfulness Activities brings you this fantastic Art Group. Running every Monday, if you like to draw or paint, or would like to try something new, why not join in with this friendly group.

SOUP LUNCH CLUB

Do you eat alone and would like some company, then this is the place for you!
Running this coming Tuesday and every first Tuesday of the month, join them for a relaxing chat, meet new people and even find a new friend.
Lunch will be served until 1pm, consisting of soup with fresh bread, a cake and a cup of tea or coffee.
There is a suggested voluntary contribution of £2 per person, adults only (sorry no children.)

COLOURFUL CREATIVE ART CLASSES

A great but often messy way to introduce your little ones to art. The classes are run for babies, toddlers and children unto 4 years of age.
The ARTventurers classes are as follows:
Little ARTventurers for 16/18 months to 4 years – 10am – 11am.
Baby ARTventurers for 6 to 16/18 months – 11.30am – 12.20pm.
Art sessions, holiday workshops and parties are also held for older children.

4 DAY LEEDS RHINOS MULTI SPORT ACTIVITY CAMPS

Leeds Rhinos Foundation have joined forces with Leeds City Council to bring you these great multi-sport camps over the February half term. The 4 day events are just £15 for children aged 7-14 years, from the Outer South community area committee within the BD11, LS27, LS26 and WF3 postcodes.
