MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING
FRIDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER 9AM – 1PM
Temple Lawn, Rothwell

Come along to the MacMillan Coffee Morning for a nibble and a natter and help support this great cause.


GET TO KNOW YOUR SEWING MACHINE!
SATURDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 1PM – 4PM
Rivers Meet Cafe – Methley

Master simple techniques and gain confidence in addition to using your sewing machine’s accessories. We’ll look at how to explore both yours and your machine’s full potential.
Please bring your sewing machine, instruction book and a basic sewing kit (materials provided).

£25 including tea/coffee and cake


BABY & CHILDRENS INDOOR MARKET
SUNDAY 1st OCTOBER – OPENS 1.30PM
Rothwell Leisure Centre, Wakefield Road, LS26 8EL

A great chance to support Martin House Children’s Hospice. There will be over 60 tables selling toys, clothes, buggies and equipment.
Entry is £2 and children are admitted free.

WILD BOAR CHALLENGE! OFF ROAD CYCLE RIDE…
SUNDAY 1st OCTOBER – Registration open at 7.30am, last starters 9.30am
Rothwell Country Park

Brought you by the Rothwell Lions. A circular 65km (or 50km) off road cycling ride with the route starting and finishing in Rothwell Country Park. The route follows canal tow paths, disused railway lines, bridle paths and some minor roads. It passes through Parlington Park, skirts Lotherton Hall and passes through Temple Newsam estate before joining the river bank again to return to Rothwell Country Park.

Raising money for local charities is the principle aim of the Rothwell Lions. This years chosen charities are Candlelighters and Hannah House – both charities, make a real difference to lives and the people living in our community. We hope you can help us to raise as much money as possible for these two very worth while charities.

GOLDEN DAYS
TUESDAY 3RD OCTOBER 11AM – 12NOON
Rothwell Community Hub, Marsh St, Rothwell, LS26 0AD

The first Tuesday of the month sees Golden Days, with talks, sing songs, crafts and special events. This week try your hand at making a origami and create your own paper masterpiece. The last chance to be part of this exciting project in Leeds.
The sessions are free and no booking is required. Refreshments are available.


 

TIME OUT ROTHWELL – BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
TUESDAY 3RD OCTOBER 1pm – 3PM
The Pavillion, Springhead Park, Rothwell.

Relax, have some lunch, maybe a walk and enjoy the fresh air and hopefully some Autumn sunshine in good company.
A chance to have a chat with people who have gone through the loss of a loved one or are in the same boat. A friendly, welcoming group with the reassurance that what is said in the group, stays in the group.
