VIVA VOX – THE FUN COMMUNITY CHOIR
FRIDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER 5.45PM – 9.00PM
Great Preston Village Hall, Preston Lane, LS26 8AS

VivaVox are recruiting both adults and children for their Christmas Concert Season. If you enjoy singing and would like a chance to join the community choir, head down to Great Presto for the FREE taster session.
There are two sessions:
VivaVox Kids – 5.45pm to 6.45pm open to all children aged 6 – 11.
VivaVox Choir – 7.00pm to 9.00pm everyone welcome aged 16+.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it on this night as your first session is always FREE!
Further sessions are priced at £5.00, pay as you go, for both adults and children.

STORYTIME

Held this Friday and every coming Friday is a fun session of sharing stories and more in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Also a great opportunity to meet other parents and carers.
This is a FREE event for under 5’s.

ROTHWELL LEGO CLUB
SATURDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER 10.30AM – 11.30AM

Join in the Lego club, which meets every 4 weeks, and see what you can create. Accept their monthly challenge or use your imagination to create your own piece of art! Have a go with their ‘LittleBits’ sets to build different circuit combinations.
This is a FREE event suitable for all the family, no booking required.

DROP IN CONSULTATION SESSION
SATURDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER 10.30AM – 1.30PM
RSPB St. Aidan’s Visitor Centre, Astley Lane, Great Preston, LS26 8AL

The RSPB have exciting plans for St. Aidans and would like to transform the landscape to make it even better for people and wildlife to enjoy. They are holding another consultation session to get feedback from the public about the reserve, so please help them out and let them know your ideas and suggestions.


BOOK SALE
SATURDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER 10.00AM – 12 NOON

A book sale is being held this Saturday to raise funds for the Church. Please help support them; you never know what bargain you’ll find!

BALLROOM / LATIN FITSTEPS
TUESDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER 6.30PM – 8.30PM

As Strictly is hitting our screens again, why not give it a try yourselves! There are two new classes starting this Tuesday for complete beginners.

Fitsteps for Adults will start at 6.30pm to 7.15pm – Its a fun way to get fit the Latin and Ballroom way and the best thing is no partner is required, so no excuses!!!

Ballroom and Latin for Adults will follow at 7.30pm to 8.30pm – Hit the dance floor for a whole lot of fun and a great way to keep fit! Why not give it a go…..

TIME OUT ROTHWELL

The bereavement support group are meeting again this coming Tuesday. It’s a chance to meet new friends in a calm and friendly atmosphere and chat about ‘everything’.  The ‘chats’ are confidential; what’s said in the group, stays in the group….

DAZL ROTHWELL DANCE CREW
WEDNESDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER 4.00PM – 5.00PM
The Scout Hut, 45A Haigh Road, Rothwell, LS26 0LW

The Rothwell dance crew meet up every Wednesday to learn and enjoy mixed dance styles. No experience is necessary, boys and girls of age groups 3-6 years and 7-11 years are all welcome!
Just turn up, complete a consent form, which must be signed by parents/carers, wear comfortable clothing and trainers and bring a bottle of water!!!
